Author offers a touching memoir documenting different generations

Author Rolland L. King invites readers to take a glimpse of a well-celebrated life as he traces the roots and branches of his family tree and inspires with an endearing memoir. MY FAMILY: A COMMUNITY BUILDER'S DESTINY chronicles his life and the family that molded him to be the resilient man that he is today.

King's relationship with his family and relatives is anything but dull. As a child, he was used to hearing fascinating stories about his grandparents and the generation that came before. His grandfather served in the Civil War and his father was an early camera buff. The women in the family were not only great wives and mothers, but also made indelible marks in their respective fields. Generally, King belongs to a family of community builders. Through captivating image dating back to 1890's, he proudly shares the many community projects that different generations of his family helped conceptualize and establish.

Digging out almost-forgotten photographs and documents, King, paints a colorful journey of conflicts and forgiveness, trial and triumphs. He relives decades of family gatherings and blissful reunions to inspire and touch readers. Both nostalgic and entertaining, MY FAMILY: COMMUNITY BUILDER'S DESTINY is a warm recollection of one man's most treasured moments which many others can relate to.

Rolland L. King began to write the story of his life many years ago for the benefit of his children and grandchildren. He lives with his wife Francine in Sarasota Florida during the winter months and at the family farm at Lake Lure, North Carolina during the summer.
